About Meridian

Meridian is the world clock at wwclock.com. It brings the current time in multiple cities into one calm, readable view, so checking in across time zones takes less mental arithmetic.

Made for everyday connections

A clock can be a reminder of a person, a project or a place. Meridian lets you keep those places together without creating an account. Add cities, compare their dates, switch time formats and expand a clock when you need more detail. The layout works on small screens as well as a desktop, with keyboard controls and respect for reduced-motion settings.

How the clocks work

The app reads the current moment from your device clock. JavaScript's Intl.DateTimeFormat then formats that moment using an IANA time-zone identifier, such as Europe/London or Asia/Tokyo. This lets the browser apply the rules it knows for daylight saving and regional offsets.

The underlying IANA Time Zone Database tracks time-zone history and rule changes. Meridian does not maintain a separate authoritative time source or independently verify your device clock. An outdated browser or incorrect system time can affect the displayed result.

Useful detail, without pretending to know more

An expanded clock shows the full local date, UTC offset and difference from your device time zone. Daytime styling uses the local hours from 06:00 to 17:59; it is not an astronomical daylight calculation. Meridian compares the current moment rather than converting a future meeting time.

Your settings stay with your browser

City choices, theme and time format are saved locally when browser storage is available. There is no Meridian account or cross-device synchronization. See the privacy policy for storage, hosting and external font details.

Feedback and corrections

Meridian is the product name used by this website, not a claim of affiliation with a time standards body. If a city looks wrong, include the selected time zone, the date and your browser when you contact us. Please do not send sensitive personal information.
